Cignet LLC has acquired an electronics manufacturer, Schwaiger s.r.o. based in Vrchlabi, Czech Republic
Cignet LLC, the parent company of Flight Systems Electronics Group, (“Flight”) has successfully completed the acquisition of Schwaiger s.r.o. (“Schwaiger”) located in Vrchlabi, Giant Mountains Region, Czech Republic, about 80 miles north east of Prague near the border to Poland.
Schwaiger is an ISO 9001 certified electronics manufacturing and assembly company currently focused on electronic satellite multi switches and electronic antenna amplifiers for satellite reception systems and electronics assemblies for the medical field worldwide. The company will continue to distribute proprietary satellite reception systems under the brand of “Schwaiger” in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and parts of Poland.
As a sister company to Flight, the company will broaden its scope of services to include remanufactured electronics and mechatronics as well as low volume electronics assembly to serve Flight’s customers in the transportation and heavy equipment industries.
Mr. Marc A. Baines, Vice President - Global New Product Development of Flight will be relocating his family to the Czech Republic and will be the Managing Director for the business in addiotn to his current responsibilites. Marc’s knowldge will be instrumental in transitioning the company into Flight’s European center for remanufacturing.
